Getting Myself Introduced Into The ART World...!

I had the honour of my old High School art teacher, Mr. Eastwood ask that I submit one piece I did last year to enter into the Dufferin County Museum for the Headwaters Arts Festival!  I entered my piece "Window of the Soul", the very picture that hangs in my living room watching you as you watch TV!  I believe it's quite realistic looking and perhaps worthy enough to be one of the few who represented Erin District High Schools art students in this festival.  A total of 60 student artists from several High Schools around our area here were shown and I happen to be one of them.  Unfortunately, I nor any other student from my old High School won anything but there was a lot of awesome art there, ones that were much deserving of that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize!  You'd be surprised just how talented the average teenage really is in art.  It's a great way to express one's self and a good way to get your emotions out.  My parents and I attended the opening for the museum festival that goes for $60 a ticket (of course, we managed to get media passes as usual and didn't end up paying our way in).  As we mingled with the rich and wealthy of Erin and surrounding area, we viewed all the other some-what famous artist from around here seeing the selling prices, some up to more than $2000 each!  What a different world that is!  My parents seem to refer to it as the "Artsy Fartsy" world though... well, I'm not sure if I should be insulted by this or happy that it's not any worse!
