I was born on June 7th, 1984 and grew up in Erin, Ontario, Canada (a very small town - population under 3000). I have been drawing since I could pick up a crayon and my parents discovered this art interest in me very young. I began private art lessons at age 9 with local artist, David Huber who taught me all about drawing and painting animals. For years I persued these lessons, growing into a better artist each day because of the teachings of my teacher. I learned the basics of art and then decided to start a new direction. I became interested in figures and portraiture and started to learn about how to draw them. 6 paintings and 5 years later, I came out of these classes and started High School. In the last few years of my High School career, I have developed an interest in computers. I gave computer animations, graphics, special effects, and video editing a try and ended up loving them all. I still love visual art and thought I might combine those 2 interests to a form a great career for myself. Also, for the past few years, I have been doing an art correspondance course for Art Instruction Schools that help me with my basic and advanced skills of every aspect of art and this course will give me credits towards my college. In my second semester of grade 11, I did a co-op class, teaching public school kids art as an art teacher. I went around to many different classes varying from kindergarten to grade 8 teaching art lessons and crafts to teach the kids basic art, drawing, and creative skills and this was one of the best experiences of my life so far. All these years of hard work (and lots of money) really paid off because I have recently been accepted into Sheridan College in Oakville into the Art Fundamentals Program as well as Residence in the Campus. I have been striving to get into this school since I first heard about it and now I can continue doing what I love most and set up my future career. Moving away from home won't be easy but I'm very excited and willing to move on and forward to my future. These are the beginnings of my life and career and don't forget to keep an eye for me when I am famous!
As well as being an artist, there are many other things I enjoy doing. I love playing sports, especially soccer and I play on the local girls team in summers. In high school, I was involved in the Erin Concert Winds and Erin Jazz Band playing the Alto Saxophone for 4 years. Related to art, I helped run the Erin District High School Art Council, painting murals and helping out with art-type things around the school. I have won many awards and ribbons for my art work at the Erin Fall Fair since I was very young. For the past few years, I have been helping to run a Christian type of youth group called Campus Life as a Student Leader. This involves planning gym nights every Wednesday for high school students where we play sports, have talks, and hang out, as well as planning other events for young teens to participate in. More hobbies I have would be checking out the internet, watching Dawson's Creek, going biking, and watching movies. I worked at the local video store so I got to see many movies all the time. Music is a must in my life and I love playing it and listening to it! Now you know all about me!
And now, I am in the amazing Sheridan College, approaching the end of my first year and I love every minute of it. This has been and is one of the best experiences of my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I would like to think that I have come a long way in the past months since I came here. There is nothing better than doing and pursuing something you love. Art is my passion and I know it will create more opportunity out there in the world than I can imagine! I can only hope that others can feel as passionate and happy about something as I do with my art!
Feb. 3rd, 2003 - Found out that I was Accepted to Sheridan's Three-Year Illustration Program through Special Admissions starting September 2003! Woo Hoo!

The World Traveller...
Besides drawing, I love going and travelling places! I have already been to many different countries and had the great experience to see all kinds different cultures and people. I have already visited Costa Rica, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Cuba, San Andres Island, Florida & Germany. I'm always up for a great vacation to a nice, hot, tropical place!
